Kallithea: lies at the East Coast (approx. 8km from Rhodes-town) in a lovely cove. The beach consists of sand, pebbles and stones. This cove is excellently suitable for divers. The sea is very quiet (no waves).Sun beds and sunshades are available for hire. There is a small canteen directly at the cove where you get drinks, sandwiches and other small things to eat. Two restaurants are approx. 300 meters away.
Faliraki: The famous beach of Faliraki is one of the most important vacation spots on the island of Rhodes. It is situated on the East Coast, just 15km from Rhodes-town and it has to be reached from the main road Rhodes - Lindos. The mostly sandy and more than 5 kilometers long beach with water sports (water-skiing, wind surfing, jet skiing, paragliding), facilities in combination with the intense nightlife in the centre of Faliraki, attracts mostly young people from all around Europe. An ideal place for hot summer days and nights. The beach is backed by hotels, rooms and apartments to rent, restaurants, bars, pubs and discotheques.
The Anthony Quinn bay: lies at the East Coast (approx. 17 km from Rhodes-town or 3 km from Faliraki) in a wonderful cove. The beach consists of sand, pebbles and stones.Sun beds and sunshades are available for hire. A small tavern is above the cove.
Afandou beach (the longest beach on the island) is located about 20 kilometers east of Rhodes-town (main road Rhodes - Lindos). It's a sandy beach with pebbles. This beach is definitely quieter than Faliraki, though without the amenities. The golf course is nearby. The hotels don't lie directly at the beach. The village Afandou is 2 kilometers away.
Kolymbia: (24 km south of Rhodes-town) is a tourist centre with several hotels and lies at the East Coast (between Faliraki and Archangelos). The beach on the right side is very nice (sand and pebbles). There are different water sport offers (water-skiing, paragliding, and pedal boats).Sun beds and sunshades are available for hire. A restaurant is located direct above the beach. Further restaurants and supermarkets are in the tourist centre (500 meters).
Stegna beach: is located at the East Cost approx. 2 km away from Archangelos. It's a sandy beach with some pebbles. The southern beach section is more beautiful. Even in the high season it is proportionally quiet on this beach. Sun beds and sunshades are available for hire. Good restaurants are directly on the beach road.
Lindos Beach: The sandy beach below Lindos village is very beautiful. In the high season there are many people on this beach. The water sports supply is extensive. Sun beds and sunshades are available for hire. In the proximity of the beach and in the village are many restaurants and snack bars.500 meters south of the village Lindos lies the cove of Agios Pavlos. This is only a small beach, but it's very nice. This cove isn't suitable for bathing with little children because they can be quickly out of their depth.
Glystra beach: 3 km behind Lardos in a southerly direction lies the small Glystra beach. You can only reach this beach with a car or a motorcycle. The beach lies below the Coast Street directly behind a sharp bend. On this beach it's very quiet. Sun beds and sunshades are available for hire. A small restaurant is located directly on the beach.
Prassonissi: lies at the southern end of the island Rhodes. Prassonissi, which is actually an island, is connected to the main body of Rhodes by a long sandbank. The sea on the east side of the sandbank is calm; the sea on west side is rough. You can only reach this beach with a car or motorcycle. In front of the beach there are some restaurants and two small hotels.
West Coast beach:.This beach extends along the whole west coast of Rhodes town up to the aquarium and consists predominantly of sand and pebbles. Here you will always find a free place. Because the waves are quite very high, this beach isn't so suitable so for little children. Elli beach: lies between the Mandraki harbour and the aquarium (island top).It is the most popular beach of Rhodes-town. Therefore in the summer months, the beach is quite crowded. The beach is predominantly sandy and well suitable for children. Trianda and Ixia: These beaches are on the West Coast (4 to 6 km south of Rhodes-town). The beaches consist predominantly of pebbles. Most of time the sea is rough and it goes rapidly into deep water. You must reckon with noise of aeroplanes landing.
